Job duties: The Smart Home Installation Manager position will manage and oversee the installation and inter-connectivity of smart home asset protection devices for its customer-base in the high-end home construction business. Work with project managers to ensure that the installed smart home systems are properly coordinated and connected with other devices, such as high-automated utilities, lights, appliances, security systems, heating and cooling systems, solar power generation, etc., at customers’ homes. Work with the sales teams and end-customers to coordinate the design of smart home systems. Coordinate with outside vendors and programmers on completed designs to ensure proper development of the systems. Collaborate with the Sales Team on Smart Home installation projects. Supervise the installation and connection of systems. Perform quality checks on the installation work to ensure proper installation practices are used. Consult with associates and customer at job sites. Verify that all necessary paperwork and documentation related to the installation is completed and accurate. Manage installation related issues and provide solutions. Plan, schedule, or coordinate projects activities to meet deadlines. Conduct regular associate meetings. Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team. Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed. In performing the above duties, will directly supervise 2 Installation Supervisors. Travel domestically 30% of time to various customer sites.
Requirements: 3 years of experience as an Electrician installing and troubleshooting electrical systems and components. Experience must include installing and connecting low voltage devices and related components like switches and thermostats. Knowledge of Solar cell technology; Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies and Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
